The triple aim of CORE is:

• To better the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals in the community by creating training and job opportunities;
• To improve the environment by diverting organic waste from landfill and sending it to composting instead;
• To be financially viable by becoming self sustainable.

CORE is part of Cyrenians Enterprises and of the wider range of services that Cyrenians offer to people affected by homelessness. CORE is funded by the INCREASE III programme of the Scottish Government.

CORE employs paid staff and offers traineeship opportunities to disadvantaged individuals with a background or affected by homelessness, to become positive contributors and valuable resources in our society trough training and work experience.

The work experience covers a range of tasks carried out by the team of paid and trainee staff. Depending on their individual skills and ambitions, trainees are also given the opportunity to have a cross-over work experience within all the Cyrenians Enterprises, i.e. Good Food and Farm Enterprise.
