The James Thomson Collection
is very proud to be associated with the CORE waste recycling initiative. We have been involved with the CORE at Prestonfield since January 2009. They have been collecting our organic waste for recycling into compost on a trail basis, and the results of this trail have been amazing. Since we began using the service, we have reduce the amount of waste going to Landfill by up to 50%, and also saving on our operating costs as well. We have not experienced any problems with the service and have now started to introduce this service at our other two restaurants, the Witchery by the Castle and The Tower Restaurant.

The clear signage is a great idea. I have been able to reduce my landfill costs by half. This has made a huge impact on the business and I am confident that we could be landfill free in two years.
